Role Summary
IT Program Manager (Hybrid) responsible for managing a portfolio of interrelated IT projects, leading all phases of the project lifecycle, and ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and Plan Project: Establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, financials, and deliverables; build the plan and resource needs to accomplish the scope.
- Project Control: Assess impact of scope changes, issues, and risks; measure performance against plan and budget; obtain resolution with management and sponsor.
- Executing and Closing Project: Develop and execute a work plan; obtain authorized resources; lead the team to deliver project scope; gather lessons learned and obtain final approval.
- Project Communication: Produce project reports; provide timely status and decision-support information to teams and management; make recommendations to resolve issues and manage risks.
- Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources; assign tasks based on abilities; motivate the team to deliver outcomes.
- Quality Management: Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Decisions: Make decisions impacting project activities; influence or finalize project budget decisions.
- Financial Control: Develop and manage multi-year, multi-million-dollar budgets; track spend, accruals, and monthly estimates; coordinate with vendors to maintain spend within Β±10% of budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree and 8 years experience OR Masters Degree with 7 years experience OR PhD with 3 years experience
- At least 8 years of experience driving projects through SDLC with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- At least 5 years of experience managing significant IT projects in a Pharma environment
- Experience managing project budgets in excess of $1MM
- Demonstrable Executive Presence
- Proven Microsoft Office skills
