Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for IT support via Freshservice; triage, prioritize, and resolve Tier 1–2 tickets; maintain audit-ready notes.
- Support Windows and macOS desktops/laptops and peripherals (monitors, docking, printers); perform device imaging/provisioning/configuration; install/validate approved software.
- Provide IT support in lab environments: lab workstations, instrument-connected computers, barcode scanners/label printers/specialty peripherals; troubleshoot instrument connectivity.
- Operate with awareness of GxP/regulated environments, data integrity/access controls, and change management; escalate appropriately.
- Manage identity/access (Azure AD/Microsoft 365): reset/unlock accounts, assist with MFA/SSO, manage permissions/groups, assign/remove M365 licenses.
- Use Intune (Windows) and JAMF (macOS) for enrollment/compliance; ensure devices meet security standards.
- Handle onboarding/offboarding: set up accounts/devices/access, deploy peripherals, decommission and securely wipe devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), VPN/browser/connectivity, and business/lab applications.
- Support workstation/docking setups, Zoom/Teams Rooms, and conference room A/V.
- Provide white-glove VIP/executive support with urgency and confidentiality.
- General IT operations: inventory, security policy adherence, basic networking (Wi‑Fi/DNS), hardware troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (related field).
- 3+ years IT helpdesk/desktop support; 3+ years in pharma/biotech/lab environments.
- 3+ years supporting lab instruments/scientific equipment.
- Windows and/or macOS support experience; familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently; full-time onsite in Newton, MA; occasional travel to New Haven, CT.
- Previous wet lab experience preferred; life science background preferred; lab automation workflows preferred.
- Exposure to GxP/regulated/validated environments.
- Preferred: Intune/JAMF/Azure AD; Zoom/Teams Rooms; CompTIA A+ or Network+ (or similar).
Pay Range: $80,000–$106,000 base salary.
