Co-Op Description

Wave Life Sciences is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Lab and GxP Systems Support Co-Op to join our Co-Op Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting IT systems in a regulated laboratory environment.

As an IT Lab and GxP Systems Support Co-Op, you will work closely with our IT Technical Specialists and Business Analysts to support and maintain computer systems used in laboratories and GxP-regulated environments. You will assist in troubleshooting technical issues, managing support requests through our helpdesk system, and contributing to the development of documentation and knowledge bases for system upkeep and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for laboratory and GxP-regulated systems, contributing to ongoing Wave IT projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT Technical Specialists, Business Analysts, and the broader IT Operations team to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets using the FreshService platform, ensuring accurate documentation for knowledge sharing.
  • Receive hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance from senior IT team members to support learning and professional development.
  • Communicate effectively with lab users, IT team members, and mentors regarding task progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Knowledge Base (KB) articles to support system upkeep and user education.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Learn and apply best practices for supporting systems in a regulated (GxP) environment.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field at an accredited college or university.
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
