Role Summary

IT Contracts and Assets Lead with responsibilities in IT procurement, vendor contracts, and IT asset oversight. Collaborates with IT, Finance, and Procurement to align activities with DOA and procurement guidelines. Manages contract reviews (MSAs, SOWs), vendor negotiations, and maintains a centralized contract repository. Requires a blend of technical, business, and negotiation skills to ensure compliance and deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement and Compliance: Ensure IT procurement aligns with corporate policies, including DOA guidelines. Monitor and enforce compliance across vendor engagements; act as liaison between IT, Finance, and Procurement to streamline processes.
  • Contract Management: Oversee all stages of vendor contract management, including MSAs and SOWs; ensure clear objectives, deliverables, milestones, and staffing requirements. Support vendor negotiations for favorable terms; ensure timely renewals and identify opportunities to consolidate or renegotiate contracts for cost savings.
  • Asset and Repository Management: Maintain centralized repository for all IT contracts, revisions, change orders, and associated CARs. Track IT capital and operational expenditures; develop reporting tools for contract status, asset utilization, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with IT leaders to translate business needs into procurement strategies; provide updates on procurement performance, compliance, and vendor relationships.
  • Risk Management and Reporting: Identify contract risks; monitor and report on KPIs such as renewal timelines, compliance, and vendor performance.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) - Required
  • Master Degree (MBA) - Preferred

Experience

  • 5-7 years (or more) in IT procurement, contract management, or similar roles, preferably in a global organization. Experience reviewing and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and change orders. Hands-on procurement in compliance with DOA and corporate policies. Familiarity with capital authorization processes for IT projects. Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience is a plus.

  • Contractual and Procurement Expertise: Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract language, and compliance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to secure favorable vendor terms, including cost reductions and flexible service terms.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with IT systems, software, and infrastructure relevant to procurement and contracts.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage multiple contracts, timelines, and stakeholders efficiently.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyze vendor proposals and contracts for risks and optimization opportunities.

Specialized Knowledge: Licenses

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) — Preferred
  • Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE) — Preferred
