Investigative and Discovery Toxicology Team Lead will oversee and guide a team of toxicologists responsible for conducting mechanistic and discovery toxicology studies supporting a dynamic portfolio, driving the development and application of cutting-edge science to advance medicines to the clinic.
What We Are Looking For
- Skilled, creative scientist; mechanistic toxicology lab experience
- Discovery and Development Toxicology Project Leader experience
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage with key partners
- Accomplished leader to spearhead internal and external collaborations impacting drug discovery
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of scientists to interrogate mechanisms of action and drive technical innovations
- Lead a team of Toxicology Project Leaders delivering candidate-ready molecules into development
- Analyze and interpret complex data; provide clear reporting and recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate toxicological risks
- Present findings to partners
- Stay current on toxicology advancements; integrate new methodologies
- Mentor and develop team members; foster continuous learning and professional growth
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in Toxicology with 7+ years toxicology experience OR MS/BS with 15 years experience
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Proven track record leading/managing research teams
- Extensive knowledge of toxicology principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in drug discovery and development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
