Role Summary

Inventory Control Analyst at Vericel Corporation. Responsible for accurate and compliant management of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods in a cGMP environment, combining hands-on inventory control with analytical responsibilities such as reporting and continuous improvement. In-office role based in Cambridge, MA, Mondayβ€šΓ„Γ¬Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory accuracy across all company sites working closely with warehouse staff.
  • Drive the transformation of replenishment processes from manual to automated, system-driven.
  • Own the annual physical inventory process and reporting to leadership.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the inventory and warehouse modules in the ERP.
  • Partner with Materials team and perform daily cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Monitor and ensure accurate posting of inventory transactions for day-to-day activities.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts; analyze and correct cycle count discrepancies.
  • Provide immediate support to Materials and Accounting teams for end-of-month and end-of-quarter activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present inventory accuracy reports, KPIs, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Support inbound receiving, issuing to production, and warehouse transactions.
  • Improve and maintain warehouse ERP locations to improve material traceability, organization, and audit readiness across all sites.
  • Ensure outbound and inbound logistics activities are executed with accurate documentation and tracking.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, QA, QC, and Manufacturing to ensure material is released and available for manufacturing.
  • Adhere to SOPs and ensure compliance with ISO 9000, cGMP, MRB, and Sarbanes-Oxley controls; support corrective action goals.
  • Escalate any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies, or contract matters for internal review and remediation.

Qualifications

  • Required: B.S. degree and 3β€šΓ„Γ¬7 years of inventory control, supply chain, or materials management experience.
  • Required: Experience with ERP systems.
  • Required: Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Required: Strong attention to detail.
  • Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Required: Comfortable balancing physical inventory work with analytical/reporting tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience in Life Sciences
  • Familiar with cGMP processes
  • Experience within a regulated environment audited by FDA, ISO, and other agencies

Education

  • B.S. degree (within field related to role)
