Role Summary
Intern - Critical Reagents. Embark on a 12-week program with an international pharmaceuticals company, contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects within the Critical Reagents group of the Specialty Bioanalytics department. Gain hands-on experience in protein production and characterization to support reagent generation for bioanalytical methods, under the guidance of a mentor and experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Gain in-depth insight into the Critical Reagents group within the Specialty Bioanalytics department during the 12-week program.
- Work on diverse projects as part of daily business activities, supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues.
- Gain hands-on experience in protein production and characterization techniques to support generation of reagents for bioanalytical methods.
- Test and troubleshoot processes to maximize efficiency and reproducibility in reagent production.
- Contribute to the development of concepts and initiatives within the Global R&D business unit.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelorโs program in Immunology, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Fundamental understanding and experience in:
- Cell and molecular biology
- Protein chemistry
- Cell culture
- Able to work collaboratively in a diverse environment with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Biology and biochemistry fundamentals relevant to protein production and reagent development.
- Hands-on experience with protein chemistry and cell culture techniques.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
Education
- None specified beyond current enrollment in relevant bachelorโs program.
Additional Requirements
- Location: West Chester, PA, USA (onsite)
- Length: minimum 12 weeks (mid-May through mid-August)
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
