Instrument Tech

Role: Instrument Technician responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining utility equipment across manufacturing facilities, including instrumentation, electrical systems, and utility water and steam systems. Objectives: ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and safety of critical utility systems to support biopharma manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: diagnose and repair complex process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, pH, control valves), perform preventative/corrective maintenance, calibrations, and system modifications; interpret technical drawings; develop and improve maintenance procedures; maintain cGMP compliance and documentation. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 3 years experience in instrumentation, electrical, or utilities maintenance within regulated or manufacturing environments; valid driver’s license; ability to lift 40 pounds, tolerate outdoor conditions; proficient in reading schematics, using CMMS, and Microsoft Office. Preferred: associate’s degree or technical certification, prior experience in pharma or FDA-regulated settings, knowledge of troubleshooting, and safety protocols. High-Value: utility systems (water, steam, glycol), regulated manufacturing environment, compliance with cGMP, troubleshooting complex instrumentation, working in a manufacturing plant with hazardous conditions. Work setup: full-time, scheduled 8-hour shifts, outdoor exposure, within US, with response to call-ins and overtime as needed.
