Innovation, Data & Analytics Team, Senior Manager, Data Scientist

Role: Senior Manager, Data Scientist supporting Pfizer's Innovation, Data & Analytics (IDA) team to develop AI-enabled workflows and data-driven insights for Medical Affairs. Responsibilities: lead selection, design, and evaluation of analytical and machine-learning methods; develop segmentation and modeling approaches using healthcare and real-world data; translate complex medical and business questions into analytical solutions; collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML engineering, and governance teams; provide mentorship and promote data science standards. Requirements: Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, or related; 6+ years of experience applying data science in healthcare/pharma; proficiency in Python/R, SQL; experience working with healthcare data such as claims, EHRs, or RWD; strong communication skills; knowledge of data privacy and compliance. Preferred: advanced degree (Master’s/PhD), experience with large language models, cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and healthcare data standards (OMOP, HEDIS); experience operationalizing models and mentoring. High-Value: focus on AI and ML model development in regulated pharma environment, supporting Medical Affairs strategies. Location: NYHQ, PA-Collegeville, MA-Cambridge, CT-Groton, Europe, or Montreal; hybrid work model (2-3 days onsite). Travel: minimal; no relocation package; U.S. work authorized candidates preferred.
