General Summary
Technology Portfolio Management Director, Information Security Technology Portfolio Management within Project Management and Strategic Operations (PMSO). Reports to Senior Director of Project Management and Strategic Operations and partners with the Chief Information Security Officer to oversee the Information Security project portfolio of new technology implementations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the Information Security new technology implementation portfolio
- Maintain technology roadmaps; ensure alignment with strategic priorities; manage resource and capacity
- Develop and manage governance processes for technology implementations tied to business requirements, executive sponsorship, and strategic priorities
- Co-develop communication decks for regular portfolio reviews and executive presentations
- Co-facilitate technology strategy and portfolio review meetings with senior leaders
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders; drive proactive risk/issue mitigation
- Manage, coach, and train project managers for Information Security Technology implementations
- Communicate portfolio status to DTE leadership and the Senior Director
- Manage portfolio financials (budget planning, forecasting, accruals)
Knowledge And Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Proven track record managing complex information technology projects and delivering within timelines and budgets
- Exceptional communication/presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong leadership to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Hands-on financial experience across project/program/portfolio planning (budgeting, forecasting, accruals)
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and motivate program/project managers
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Advanced degree with strong biotechnology experience in an IT setting preferred
- Minimum 5 years in project/program/portfolio management
- Experience deploying information security/cybersecurity technologies and operational activities
- Typically 10 years’ experience or equivalent education/experience
