Internal Job Title: Research Scientist I/II
Position Location: Onsite, Cambridge, MA

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform state-of-the-art in vivo experimentation ethically and to high scientific standards.
- Conduct compound administration (PO, IV, SC, IP), blood sampling (multiple routes), tissue collection, clinical observations, and routine/specialized necropsy in mouse and rat.
- Execute advanced necropsy and tissue-processing (targeted dissection, perfusion-assisted collection, sample preservation) for histopathology, molecular, and biomarker analyses.
- Apply basic in vivo surgical procedures (e.g., minor implantations, catheter placement, specialized sampling) where advantageous.
- Contribute to experimental design, protocol review, and selection of in vivo/necropsy strategies.
- Generate high-quality datasets for efficacy, PK/PD, and translational interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (pathology, bioanalysis, pharmacology) and support reproducible data.
- Perform data interpretation and basic statistical analysis; coding-based analysis (R/Python preferred).
- Participate in rota-based weekend/non-standard dosing responsibilities.
- Maintain full compliance with institutional, ethical, and regulatory requirements (animal welfare, 3Rs).

Essential Requirements:
- BS/MS in Life Sciences or equivalent; 3+ years lab animal research experience.
- Hands-on small animal in vivo model experience.
- Exposure to in vivo surgical procedures (or interest in developing skills).
- Experience supporting efficacy, PK/PD, or translational pharmacology; exposure to multiple disease-relevant/mechanistic models.
- Animal welfare/safety commitment, rigor, strong communication, cross-functional teamwork.
- Fluency in English; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motion/extended standing.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable):
- Salary range: Research Scientist I: $34.26–$63.59/hr; Research Scientist II: $41.65–$77.33/hr. Performance-based cash incentive; possible annual equity awards. US-based comprehensive benefits and time off.
