Role: In vitro biologist in Lilly's Cardiovascular and Renal Research team, focusing on assay development and pipeline support for cardiovascular and renal diseases. Responsibilities: design and execute cellular assays to characterize targets and pathways, develop and validate disease-relevant models, perform molecular and biochemical analyses, and implement advanced detection technologies. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and translational sciences to accelerate drug discovery. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year in cell biology, biochemistry, or related fields; proficiency with molecular techniques (qPCR, western blot, ELISA), cell culture, and assay validation. Preferred: Master’s degree, experience with cardiometabolic disease, surface plasmon resonance, lipoprotein profiling, assay automation, bioinformatics, and in vivo pharmacology. High-value specifics: focus on biologics, small molecules, or genetic medicines for cardiovascular/renal indications, supporting early preclinical research. Work setup: onsite in Indianapolis, IN, with occasional evening/weekend work.
