Key Duties & Responsibilities
Execute Single-Cell Genomics and Multi-Omics Workflows
- Process primary samples and cell-based systems for single-cell applications (tissue dissociation, cell isolation/enrichment, counting, viability assessment)
- Generate high-quality libraries for transcriptomic, epigenomic, and/or immune profiling
- Perform sample and library QC (e.g., Qubit, TapeStation, Bioanalyzer)
- Run end-to-end single-cell genomics and multi-omics workflows (including multiome and CITE-seq where appropriate) from acquisition through library prep and sequencing
- Establish/refine SOPs, assay documentation, and experimental best practices
Workflow Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Execute and troubleshoot assays using 10x Chromium and related technologies
- Troubleshoot technical issues (sample quality, library complexity, sequencing performance)
- Optimize workflows for sample quality, cell recovery, and reproducibility
- Benchmark new methods and support adoption of next-generation single-cell/multi-omics capabilities
Coordination and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with core groups or external vendors for sequencing, run tracking, and data generation
- Support flow cytometry/cell sorting where needed
- Collaborate with bioinformatics/computational biology teams to interpret datasets
- Evaluate assay/sequencing metrics (read depth, mapping performance, cell recovery, QC thresholds)
Knowledge and Skills
- Hands-on single-cell genomics expertise, especially 10x Genomics platforms
- Wet-lab background in NGS library prep, molecular biology, complex sample processing
- Ability to design/execute/troubleshoot/optimize sophisticated experiments independently
- Computational analysis experience is a plus (not required)
- Strong experimental rigor, data quality, and documentation; collaborative communicator
Education and Experience
- PhD with 2+ years relevant experience; or Masterβs with 6+ years; or Bachelorβs with 8+ years
Pay Range
- $124,200 - $186,400
