Role Summary
Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Rheumatology, field-based role supporting the Washington DC or Baltimore region. The MSL represents argenx as a science-driven, patient-centric partner, engaging with academic and community healthcare stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on scientific data, products, and trials.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise of relevant diseases, compounds, development indications and respective treatment plans
- Be acknowledged internally and externally as an expert in aligned areas
- Partner with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Patient Advocacy and other stakeholders to create a thorough internal understanding of pipeline indication opportunities
- Identify potential high-impact medical research projects and publication opportunities aligned with argenx interests
- Attend appropriate local, national, and international meetings to gather intelligence and develop collaborations, sharing insights internally
Qualifications
- Required: Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO)
- Required: 3+ years of field-based MSL experience in biopharmaceutical industry
- Preferred: Located in targeted cities or within reasonable distance of a major airport within the territory
- Preferred: Strong clinical and scientific knowledge in rheumatology; immunology and/or other rare diseases are advantageous
- Preferred: Experience supporting clinical trial sites as an MSL to support clinical trial milestones
- Required: Strong knowledge of the US healthcare landscape, including hospital systems and healthcare professionals
- Required: Understanding of compliance, legal and regulatory landscape related to interactions with healthcare professionals
- Preferred: Fluency in translating market research and data-driven insights into actionable strategic initiatives
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and VEEVA
