Role Summary

The Hybrid Immunization Specialist (IS) engages healthcare providers to drive immunization uptake across adult and pediatric customers. The IS educates HCPs and office staff on disease prevention and the GSK vaccine portfolio, effectively communicating clinical value and supporting vaccination goals. This role requires strong customer engagement, scientific fluency, and the ability to translate clinical data into conversations that influence immunization outcomes. The IS reports to the Vaccine Sales Director and collaborates with field and account leadership to ensure coordinated and compliant execution.

Responsibilities

  • Engage HCPs across pediatric, internal medicine, family practice and health departments to communicate the clinical value and benefits of GSK vaccines using approved materials.
  • Build and maintain deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products and competitors.
  • Support peer-to-peer educational programs, conventions, and speaker events to enhance vaccine awareness and recommendations.
  • Tailor engagement strategies based on local practice dynamics and HCP/account needs.
  • Ensure pull-through across pediatric and adult segments for both private and public vaccination, including stocking, in-office vaccination and/or a strong referral process.
  • Partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive product pull-through within Public Awardees, Health Systems and other contracted accounts, following customer engagement guidelines.
  • Influence uptake of publicly funded vaccines by engaging with HCPs/staff and health department & VFC program managers, and develop knowledge of their immunization goals and funding cycles.
  • Support accounts with ordering and inventory management needs as appropriate.
  • Educate/communicate HCPs/staff on health system policies; identify and address barriers to contract execution and utilization with actionable feedback.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned and compliant execution; help identify and address barriers to vaccine access, reimbursement or workflow integration.
  • Provide actionable field insights to inform local strategy, optimize resources, and enhance execution.
  • Uphold standards for compliant, high-quality customer engagement in line with company policies and healthcare regulations; participate in reviews and maintain CRM documentation per compliance standards.
  • Meet success metrics including territory sales, immunization rates, market share targets, and compliance with CRM documentation; complete relevant training programs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary; valid driver’s license and willingness to drive (essential function).
  • Required: Immunization Specialist (grade 8) requires at least 2 years of B2B or pharmaceutical sales experience; Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7) requires 5+ years.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of vaccines sales experience.
  • Preferred: Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements.
  • Preferred: Strong account-selling skills with healthcare B2B experience; science literacy, business acumen, and customer engagement proficiency.
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting; demonstrated learning agility.

Additional Requirements

  • Location: Field-based position with travel determined by customer location relative to the candidate’s geographic location.
