Role Summary
The Hybrid Immunization Specialist (IS) drives healthcare provider engagement and vaccine uptake across Adult and Pediatric customers. The IS educates HCPs and their office staff on disease prevention and GSKโs vaccine portfolio, communicating clinical value and supporting vaccination goals. The role requires strong customer engagement, scientific fluency, and the ability to translate clinical data into meaningful conversations that drive immunization impact. The IS reports to the Vaccine Sales Director and collaborates closely with field and account leadership to ensure coordinated and compliant execution.
Responsibilities
- Drive HCP Demand and Communicate Product Value: Engage HCPs across pediatric, internal medicine, family practice and health departments to communicate the clinical value and benefits of GSK vaccines using approved materials; build deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products, and competitors; support peer-to-peer educational programs, conventions, and speaker events to enhance vaccine awareness and recommendation.
- Customer Engagement and Pull through: Tailor engagement strategies based on local practice dynamics and HCP/account needs; ensure pull through across pediatric and adult segments for both private and public vaccination, including stocking, in-office vaccination and/or a strong referral process; partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive product pull through within Public Awardees, Health Systems and other contracted accounts; influence uptake of publicly funded vaccines by engaging with HCPs/staff and health department & VFC program managers; support accounts with ordering and inventory management needs; educate/communicate HCPs/staff on HS policies; identify and address barriers to contract execution and utilization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Barrier Resolution: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned and compliant execution; identify and address barriers to vaccine access, reimbursement or workflow integration; provide actionable field insights to inform local strategy and optimize resources.
- Operational Excellence and Compliance: Uphold standards for compliant, high-quality customer engagement in line with company policies and healthcare regulations; participate in business reviews and team huddles; maintain accurate CRM documentation and activity records per compliance and field standards.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs Degree
- Required: Minimum 2 years of business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary
- Required: Valid driverโs license and willingness to drive (essential function of this role)
- Required: Immunization Specialist (grade 8) with minimum 2 years B2B or pharmaceutical sales experience; or Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7) with 5+ years B2B or pharmaceutical sales experience
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of vaccines sales experience
- Preferred: Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements
- Preferred: Strong account-selling skills and healthcare-related B2B experience
- Preferred: Demonstrated competency in science, business acumen, and customer engagement
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting
