Role Summary

The Hybrid Immunization Specialist engages healthcare providers to drive vaccine uptake across adult and pediatric customers. The role educates HCPs and office staff on disease prevention and GSKโ€™s vaccine portfolio, translating clinical data into conversations that support vaccination goals. The IS collaborates with field and account leadership to ensure compliant, coordinated execution.

Responsibilities

  • Engage HCPs across pediatric, internal medicine, family practice and health departments to communicate the clinical value and benefits of GSK vaccines using approved materials
  • Build and maintain deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products and competitors
  • Support peer-to-peer educational programs, conventions, and speaker events to enhance vaccine awareness and recommendation
  • Tailor engagement strategies based on local practice dynamics and HCP/account needs
  • Ensure pull through across pediatric and adult segments for both private and public vaccination, including stocking, in-office vaccination and/or a strong referral process
  • Partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive product pull through within Public Awardees, Health Systems and other contracted accounts
  • Influence the uptake of publicly funded vaccines by engaging with HCPs/staff and health department & VFC program managers
  • Support accounts with their ordering and inventory management needs as appropriate
  • Work with Account managers to educate/communicate HCPs/staff on HS policies
  • Identify and address barriers to contract execution and utilization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned and compliant execution
  • Help identify and address barriers to vaccine access, reimbursement or workflow integration
  • Provide actionable field insights to inform local strategy, optimize resources, and enhance execution
  • Uphold standards for compliant, high-quality customer engagement in line with company policies and healthcare regulations
  • Participate in business reviews and team huddles to assess progress and identify opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and activity records per compliance and field standards
  • Achieve assigned territory sales, immunization rates and market share targets
  • Monitor activity metrics and progress on selling outcomes; ensure documentation compliance

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary
  • Required: Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to drive (essential function of this role)
  • Required: The role may be classified as Immunization Specialist (grade 8) with at least 2 years of relevant experience or Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7) with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of vaccines sales experience
  • Preferred: Strong account-selling skills and demonstrated competency in science, business acumen, and customer engagement
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting and learning agility
