Role Summary

The Immunization Specialist is a field-based role focused on engaging healthcare providers to drive vaccine uptake across Adult and Pediatric customers. The role involves educating HCPs and their staff on disease prevention and GSKโ€™s vaccine portfolio, translating clinical data into conversations that support vaccination goals. The position collaborates with field and account leadership to ensure coordinated and compliant execution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HCP Demand and Communicate Product Value: Engage HCPs to communicate the clinical value and benefits of GSK vaccines using approved materials; build deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas and competitors; support peer-to-peer educational programs and speaker events.
  • Customer Engagement and Pull through: Tailor engagement strategies to local dynamics; ensure pull-through across pediatric and adult segments for private and public vaccination, including stocking and in-office vaccination or strong referral processes; partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive pull-through within various accounts; influence uptake of publicly funded vaccines and understand immunization goals and funding cycles; support accounts with ordering and inventory needs; educate/communicate policies; identify and address barriers to contract execution and utilization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Barrier Resolution: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned, compliant execution; identify and address barriers to vaccine access or reimbursement; provide field insights to inform local strategy and optimize resources.
  • Operational Excellence and Compliance: Uphold standards for compliant, high-quality customer engagement; participate in business reviews; maintain accurate CRM documentation per compliance standards.
  • Success Metrics & KPIs: Achieve territory sales, immunization rates, and market share targets; track activity metrics and educational asset utilization; maintain 100% CRM documentation compliance; complete required training programs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary
  • Required: Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to drive (essential function of this role)
  • Required: The role will be hired at Immunization Specialist (grade 8) with at least 2 years B2B/pharma sales experience or Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7) with 5+ years B2B/pharma sales experience
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of vaccines sales experience
  • Preferred: Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements
  • Preferred: Strong account-selling skills in healthcare and demonstrated science/business/customer engagement competency
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting; demonstrated learning agility
