Role Summary

The Immunization Specialist, Portfolio is a field-based role focused on engaging healthcare providers to drive vaccine uptake across adult and pediatric customers. You will educate HCPs and their staff on disease prevention and GSKโ€™s vaccine portfolio, translating clinical data into conversations that support vaccination goals. This position requires strong customer engagement, scientific fluency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant execution. Location: Charlottesville, VA; travel as needed based on customer location.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HCP demand and communicate product value by engaging pediatric, internal medicine, family practice, and health department professionals using approved materials.
  • Build and maintain deep expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products, and competitors; support peer-to-peer educational programs and events to enhance vaccine awareness.
  • Tailor engagement strategies to local practice dynamics; ensure pull-through across pediatric and adult segments for private and public vaccination, including stocking, in-office vaccination, and referral processes.
  • Partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive pull-through within Public Awardees, Health Systems, and other contracted accounts; educate HCPs on HS policies and address barriers to contract execution and utilization.
  • Influence uptake of publicly funded vaccines by engaging with HCPs, health department staff, and VFC program managers; develop knowledge of immunization goals and funding cycles.
  • Support accounts with ordering and inventory management as appropriate; educate/communicate with HCPs/staff on policies.
  • Provide actionable feedback to identify and address barriers to contract execution and uptake; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and activity records in line with compliance and field standards.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary
  • Required: Valid driverโ€™s license and willingness to drive (essential function of this role)
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of vaccines sales experience
  • Preferred: Strong account-selling skills and healthcare experience; demonstrated science literacy, business acumen, and customer engagement abilities
