Role Summary

The Immunization Specialist (IS) engages health care providers to drive uptake of GSK vaccines. The IS educates HCPs on disease state and GSK vaccine solutions, demonstrates strong customer engagement, and collaborates with first line leaders and field teams to represent the vaccine portfolio and drive adoption across private and public sectors.

Responsibilities

  • The Immunization Specialist will develop and maintain specialized expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, products and markets.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of GSK vaccines, competitive products and promotional strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Apply high-level selling skills, including account-based selling, strategic thinking, drive for results, and the ability to ask for the business.
  • Provide value to targeted accounts through blending science and service based on each account’s needs.
  • Follow public health guidelines and use the vaccines sales process to engage customers and support vaccination or referral efforts.
  • Drive vaccination uptake in both Private and Public (Vaccines for Children) sector providers.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Retail Channel Managers to pull through GSK vaccine business.
  • Utilize and provide feedback on marketing content and digital tools to optimize them.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required: Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary
  • Required: Valid driver’s license
  • Required: Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle – driving is an essential function of this role
  • Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
    • Immunization Specialist (grade 8): Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience
    • Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7): 5+ years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements.
  • Demonstrated learning agility.
  • Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience.
  • Nursing (MSN, RN, LPN) or other healthcare qualification and experience.
  • Demonstrated competency of science, business acumen, and customer engagement.
  • Strong account selling skills, including business-to-business experience in a healthcare related market.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Requirements

  • Location: This is a field-based position. The percentage of travel will be determined by customer location in relation to the geographic location of the successful candidate.
