Role Summary
The Senior Healthcare Representative is responsible for launching new products, determining strategies to manage business relationships, understanding formulary access, and promoting products within assigned specialists in office-based practices and specialty pharmacy accounts. The role includes sales efforts and relationship development with assigned customers and accounts, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The role requires strong product and disease-state knowledge, sales and promotional capabilities, and the ability to engage customers both virtually and in person, with effective use of digital tools and cross-functional collaboration to meet Pfizer objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ability to identify and implement efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies by customer to maximize effectiveness, with emphasis on face-to-face interactions where permissible. Develop and adapt business and territory call plans based on opportunities and insights.
- Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face-to-face environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives, documentation, and KPIs; use digital tools effectively and adapt to new tools for successful engagement; leverage analytics for next-best-action plans.
- Compliantly engage key customers to grow business and drive product demand by providing education that meets HCP and patient needs.
- Develop and deliver targeted messaging using approved materials to drive product demand; leverage account priorities to achieve positive business outcomes; provide insights for new messaging and resources.
- Educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions using disease-state information as applicable.
- Collaborate with HCPs and office staff to plan engagements in multiple formats (virtual and in-person).
- Strategically deploy Pfizer resources (samples, vouchers, co-pay resources, patient education) and integrate guidance from management and other functions into pre-call planning; plan day-to-day work and collaborate with CF colleagues and Pfizer Connect team.
- Support patient access by providing information on reimbursement, PAP, hub programs, and co-pay resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to address inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives; use triaging protocols and digital apps to connect with SMEs when needed.
- Use calendaring tools and insights to address customer priorities and share customer survey insights with leadership to improve models.
Qualifications
- Required: A Bachelor’s Degree OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in professional sales, healthcare professional experience, or related fields such as sales, customer service, marketing, finance, or HR.
- Required: History of marketing, promotional or sales success, strong territory management skills, outstanding communications, and demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
- Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years will disqualify.
- Preferred: 3–5 years specialty marketing/promotional/sales experience.
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products; deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets; strategic account marketing, promotional, sales, and management skills; ability to develop comprehensive territory plans; experience with brick-and-mortar Specialty Infusion Pharmacies; ability to overcome access obstacles; cultivation of KOL relationships; assessment of target physician needs; superior marketing, promotional, sales, and relationship-building skills; strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, data analysis, and project management; effective cross-functional collaboration; ability to engage and influence customers throughout the sales process; quick adaptation to new ways of working; ability to work in a matrix environment; strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; experience with thought leaders in large practices; strong organizational and analytical skills with proficiency in sales data and call reporting tools; adaptability to new technology; excellent planning and prioritization; strong time management and organizational skills.

- Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements: Field sales role may require 25%+ travel and overnights based on territory.
