Position Overview
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer II develops, implements, and manages the operation of Adaptive’s IAM systems and processes. Works with business partners and cross-functional teams to provide IAM strategies, roadmaps, and program items to improve Adaptive’s IAM practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Own key IAM business processes: user provisioning; role-based access control; user access request and provisioning
- Automate IAM processes and tasks using standard tools and scripting languages
- Implement best practices for identity governance and administration
- Integrate identity systems with HR, Training, and Quality systems
- Manage onboarding and integration of new business systems
- Establish technology and processes to maintain accuracy of access management systems
- Oversee regular configuration and user access reviews
- Coordinate closely with Information Security
- Ensure security and protection of company systems and data by maintaining compliance with Adaptive security and information handling policies
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years designing, implementing, and operating enterprise IAM technologies (access request/management, directories, authentication/SSO) across in-house and external systems
- Knowledge of identity/access data correlation, normalization, and building identity/access data models
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; excellent technical writing and system documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills for large cross-functional projects
- Strong analytical problem-solving and conceptual skills
Required Technical Competencies
- Services-based integration (e.g., REST) of RBAC, Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, end-user provisioning, identity governance, and identity data synchronization
- API gateways, enterprise directories/databases, SSO/access management, SAML and LDAP
- Experience with: Active Directory; O365/Azure AD; Okta; Avatier; PowerShell; JavaScript; SQL scripting
Compensation
- Salary range: $90,000–$135,000
- Equity grant; bonus eligible
