IAM Federation Services (Okta) Engineer (Hybrid)

Role: IAM Federation Services Engineer within AbbVie's Information Security & Risk Management team, focusing on designing, implementing, and managing federation identity and access solutions for a global workforce of 80,000 users and customer identities. Responsibilities: develop federation solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and Ping Federate; integrate technologies with enterprise and cloud systems via standards like SAML, OIDC, OAuth; create custom authentication experiences with APIs and SDKs; support MFA technologies including PingID, Okta Verify, FIDO2, and biometrics; troubleshoot authentication issues; monitor infrastructure performance; document configurations; collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or Master’s with 4+ years in IAM or related fields; at least 4 years’ hands-on experience with Okta, Ping Federate; proficiency in PowerShell scripting; strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred: federation certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator); experience supporting large-scale environments (>10,000 users); knowledge of security frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001. High-Value: expertise in IAM platforms, MFA, federation protocols, and cloud integrations; supporting enterprise security initiatives in a global, fast-paced setting.
