Responsibilities:
- Engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions using product knowledge, based on customer needs, in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Drive sales performance to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded.
- Use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers; routinely share insights with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with customers and accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, customer needs, and identify business opportunities.
- Use analytical tools to understand/evaluate the business and determine how to accomplish sales objectives using appropriate resources.
- Develop and execute a business plan with leaders to achieve goals and sales objectives; understand formulary approvals and related opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver appropriate resources and pull-through within the territory.
- Ensure administrative excellence (work hours, sales call data, customer objective responses, sample/expense reporting, and other administrative items).
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of specialty sales experience; preferably rare disease and injectable experience; adult endocrinology disease state experience preferred.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment; start-up experience preferred.
- Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services.
- Proven strong performance (current and historical).
- Experience in a new product launch environment preferred.
- Experience with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies.
- Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics.
- Proven ability to collaborate with peers and across functions.
- Specialty drug (rare/orphan disease) experience to support compliant customer/patient needs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information effectively.
- Ability to meet all credentialing requirements.
- Valid driverโs license and safe driving record.
- Overnight travel required.
Compensation (if applicable):
- Annual base salary: $190,000 (actual salary may vary by qualifications and role fit). Some positions may include car or car allowance and eligibility for commissions/bonus.
