Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented HRIS Analyst with broad Workday expertise across core functional areas including HCM, performance, talent, recruiting, time tracking, absence, compensation, benefits, security, integrations reporting, and analytics. The analyst will support configuration changes, troubleshoot system issues, and execute testing to ensure accuracy and performance. This role works closely with business stakeholders to optimize Workday processes, deliver insights through reporting and dashboards, and ensure the system meets organizational needs. Location: Waltham, MA / Hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Manage Tier 2 Workday support requests and ensure employees receive prompt, high-quality customer service.
- Address system errors and discrepancies reported by HR to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues, working closely with the business to understand requirements.
- Support HRIS system upgrades and migrations and contribute to ongoing design enhancements and configuration changes to maintain a scalable, well-governed HRIS model.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure smooth integration of external systems into Workday.
- Maintain and update security groups, domain security policies, and role assignments.
- Troubleshoot access issues and ensure users are provisioned correctly.
- Conduct periodic security audits to ensure compliance and consistent access governance.
- Troubleshoot data mismatches and assist with root-cause resolution.
- Develop and maintain advanced, matrix, and composite reports, updating them as business needs evolve.
- Build alerts and notifications that leverage reporting insights to support proactive decision-making.
- Design and populate EIBs for key Workday processes and create or modify dashboards and Workday hubs to enhance analytics.
- Assist in developing employee-facing training resources, including how-to guides, SOPs, presentations, and instructional videos.
- Participate in audits and compliance requests as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday (HCM, Talent Optimization, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Security, Integrations, Time Tracking, and Absence are preferred modules)
- Knowledge of Workday security groups, domains and policies preferred
- Experience or familiarity with Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services (WWS), and other Workday integration tools.
- Strong ability to solve complex problems, exercise sound judgment, and manage both independent and small-group projects effectively.
- Familiarity with auditing processes and reporting for access control
- Highly organized, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to developing new skills and expanding HR and HRIS knowledge.
