Role Summary

HR Compensation Analytics Principal Analyst in the Boston area. Responsible for compensation surveys, salary benchmarking, and structures for the US Region, developing compensation analytics and digital tools, and supporting global pay equity analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Benchmarking Lead for US Region: primary contact for US market intelligence, survey submission, data aggregation and analysis; provides annual survey benchmarking and salary structures for US Regular, Premium, MD, Sales, Executive, and Intern structures; partners on annual US structure refresh and larger projects; provides in-depth market data analysis and ad hoc requests; participates in spot surveys, data audits, file uploads; keeps HR informed of US market trends.
  • Digital Tools, Analytics, and Governance: build processes to streamline data loads and audits using digital tools; develop analytics/tools to assist compensation team with executive offers and benchmarks and automate processes with new digital applications/AI; design compensation analytics in Visier and explore linkages with Workday and MarketPay; evaluate Workday compensation plans and rules to streamline job architecture principles.
  • Pay Equity Support: support Global Pay Equity program with ETL and statistical measures; audit pay equity source information and assist with data cleaning and coding during analytics cycles; prepare analytics for presentations to HR and business.
  • External Research and Market Intelligence: leverage AI to organize external market data; manage year-over-year country salary budgets vs. competitive trends; evaluate annual survey library updates for changes in jobs/methodology.
  • Skills and Qualifications: design and deliver analytics for presentations; simplify complex data for understanding; occasional travel (<10%) to conferences; hybrid to Lexington/Cambridge, MA with in-office presence required.

Qualifications

  • University degree preferred with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Prior compensation survey and benchmarking experience required; MarketPay experience preferred
  • Expert user of Excel; data mining skills for large datasets
  • Working knowledge of VBA, R, or Python
  • Experience with data visualizations, analytics, and dashboards in Workday, Visier, PowerBI or similar
  • Ability to execute complex compensation analyses independently and provide thoughtful recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Travel up to 10% and hybrid in Lexington/Cambridge, MA 5 days in office per month
