Role Summary

HR Compensation Analytics Principal Analyst position for the US region, focusing on compensation surveys, salary benchmarking, and structures; develops compensation analytics and digital tools and supports global pay equity analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Benchmarking Lead for US Region: primary contact for US market intelligence; survey submission, data aggregation and analysis; provides annual survey benchmarking and salary structures for US Regular, Premium, MD, Sales, Executive, and Intern structures; partners on annual US structure refresh and larger projects; provides in-depth market data analysis in presentations; participates in spot surveys, salary surveys, data audits, file uploads; stays current on US market and industry trends.
  • Digital Tools, Analytics, and Governance: develop processes to streamline data loads/audits using digital tools; develop analytics/tools for executive offers and benchmarks; automate processes using AI tools; design compensation analytics in Visier and explore linkages with Workday and MarketPay; evaluate Workday compensation plans and rules to streamline job architecture principles.
  • Pay Equity Support: support Global Pay Equity program by performing ETL and working with R-values; audit pay equity source information and assist with data cleaning; prepare analytics for HR and business presentations.
  • External Research and Market Intelligence: organize external market data into a comprehensive library using AI; manage year-over-year country salary budgets vs. competitive trends; evaluate annual survey library updates for major changes in jobs/methodology.

Qualifications

  • University degree preferred with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Prior compensation survey and benchmarking experience required; MarketPay experience preferred
  • Expert user of Excel; data mining to extract insights from large datasets
  • Working knowledge of VBA, R, or Python
  • Experience with data visualizations, analytics, and reporting/dashboards in Workday, Visier, PowerBI or similar tools
  • Ability to execute complex compensation analyses independently; strong problem definition and problem-solving skills; capable of advising others and making recommendations
  • Attention to detail; ability to audit data and inform compensation decisions; design and deliver analytics for presentations
  • Occasional travel (<10%) to industry/vendor conferences and meetings
  • Hybrid to Lexington, MA or Cambridge, MA; 5 days minimum per month in office
