Hospital Phlebotomist

Role: Phlebotomist responsible for blood collection, specimen processing, data entry, and specimen preparation in a clinical laboratory setting. Objectives: provide accurate, timely specimen collection and excellent patient service. Responsibilities: perform venipuncture and capillary draws for all ages, handle various specimen types, maintain logs, and support administrative tasks; may travel to additional sites. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 3 months of phlebotomy experience; optional certification or training from an accredited agency. Preferred: 1+ years experience or certification; proven customer service skills, strong communication, ability to work independently, reliable transportation, and pass color blindness test.
