Role Summary

Hospital Account Manager in St. Louis, MO focused on institutional (hospital) selling for a long-acting injectable therapy in the psychiatry space. Owns achieving territory sales results in a compliant and ethical manner, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and maximizing resources to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals and identify opportunities across care settings.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, other teams, market access, operations, and training.
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines and operate with integrity.
  • Review data reports to identify trends; build relationships with healthcare providers and staff at various levels.
  • Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-service education to customers.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and staff to promote the product and provide education.
  • Coordinate with specialty pharmacies to ensure product availability and provide education as needed.
  • Monitor formulary developments within hospitals and work with P&T committees.
  • Collaborate with discharge coordinators on follow-up treatment and transitions of care.
  • Maintain call activity targets focusing on top target customers.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree; minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; hospital experience with buy-and-bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in-services; psychiatric therapeutic area experience preferred; experience with long-acting injectables for schizophrenia in hospital settings; experience launching psychiatric products across care settings; injectable and in-office administration experience in mental health facilities; ability to operate in complex networks and provide customer insights.
  • Preferred: Experience in psychiatric space across multiple settings of care.
  • Skills: Strong communication; ability to work with diverse teams; leadership and collaboration; ability to interact in live and virtual environments; proficiency with technology; understanding of reimbursement, buy-and-bill model, and various care settings; valid US driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving record.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Additional Requirements

  • Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, including potential air travel and weekend or overnight travel.
