Histotechnologist

Role: Histotechnologist responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens, producing histopathological slides, and performing immunohistochemical tests to support diagnostic pathology. Responsibilities include embedding, sectioning, staining, and maintaining laboratory equipment, as well as documenting quality control and test results to ensure accurate patient diagnostics. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Histology, Chemical/Biological science, or related field; 1+ year histology experience; Louisiana Histotechnologist license. Preferred: 3+ months of histology and immunohistochemistry experience; Histology or ASCP certification. High-Value: Laboratory-based, high-volume histology work; immunohistochemical testing; formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue; manual and automated instrument operation; adherence to CLIA standards. Collaboration: Laboratory team with a focus on quality and compliance. Work setup: On-site in Knoxville, TN, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; flexibility for overtime or shift changes preferred.
