Role: Histotechnologist responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic examination in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. Responsibilities include tissue embedding, sectioning with a microtome, performing immunohistochemistry, routine and special staining, and maintaining lab equipment and documentation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Histology, Biological or Chemical sciences, or Medical Technology with at least 1 year of histology experience; preferred certifications (e.g., ASCP), and experience with immunohistochemistry. High-value: clinical histology, immunohistochemistry, laboratory quality control, manual and automated instrument operation, and specimen embedding. Work setup: evening shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm); physical and technical demands include specimen embedding and color blindness testing; flexibility for overtime.
