Histotechnnologist

Role: Histotechnologist responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens, producing histopathological slides, performing immunohistochemical tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Core responsibilities include embedding, sectioning, staining, and reporting test results to support diagnostic accuracy. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Histology, Chemical, or Biological Sciences, with at least 1 year of histology experience; preferred certifications such as ASCP; experience with immunohistochemistry and high-volume lab operations. High-value: laboratory-based histology and immunohistochemistry, emphasis on quality control, equipment maintenance, and timely reporting. Collaboration: works within histology team, reporting to lab management. Work setup: night shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00 pm–2:30 am) in Shelton, CT, with flexibility for overtime or other shifts.
