Histotechnician - IHC

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic examination, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and immunohistochemistry. Objectives: ensure accurate and timely slide preparation for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities: perform routine and special staining, operate manual and automated equipment, maintain laboratory records, and adhere to quality control standards. Qualifications: Associate's degree in Histology or a related science, with at least 1 year of clinical lab experience or completion of a Histology certification program; preferred certifications include Histology and/or ASCP. Skills: high attention to detail, proficiency with lab information systems, ability to handle specimens of varying sizes, and physical capability to perform embedding and sectioning. Biopharma specifics: laboratory role in histopathology, supporting diagnostic and research activities, with a focus on quality and compliance. Work setup: onsite in Raritan, NJ, with shift hours from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm; flexibility for overtime or shift changes. No travel required.
