Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination within a high-volume laboratory setting. Responsibilities include tissue embedding, sectioning with microtomes, performing immunohistochemical and staining procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting manual and automated lab equipment, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting of results to support patient care. Requirements: Associate’s degree in a biological or chemical science, with at least 1 year of histology experience or an Associates in Histology; preferred certifications include Histology and/or ASCP, along with practical experience in immunohistochemistry and high-volume lab operations.
