Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens to prepare slides for microscopic examination in a clinical laboratory setting. Objectives include producing high-quality histopathological slides, performing immunohistochemical tests, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting of results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass tissue embedding, sectioning, staining, equipment operation and maintenance, and adherence to quality control protocols. Requirements: Associate's degree in Histology or High School diploma with 1+ years of histology experience; preferred certifications such as ASCP. Preferred qualifications include Labcorp experience, 2+ years as a histotechnician, and familiarity with histology and immunohistochemistry. High-value specifics: Laboratory-based role with emphasis on histology procedures, immunohistochemistry, high-volume lab environment, and quality standards. Work setup: Full-time, on-site in San Diego, CA, with a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.
