Histotechnician

Role: Histology Professional responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination, producing histopathological slides, performing immunohistochemistry, and ensuring quality and accurate reporting of test results. Responsibilities: embedding, sectioning, staining, and maintaining laboratory equipment; adhering to SOPs, safety protocols, and quality control; documenting procedures and troubleshooting issues. Requirements: Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; minimum 3 years of histotechnician experience with embedding and cutting; ability to operate manual and automated instruments; attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred: Histology and/or ASCP certification; immunohistochemistry experience; high-volume laboratory experience.
