Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic analysis in a high-volume laboratory setting. Responsibilities include tissue embedding, sectioning, staining (including immunohistochemistry), slide preparation, equipment operation and maintenance, and quality control to ensure accurate, timely test results for patient care. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Histology or equivalent with at least 1 year of histology experience; NYS Histotechnician license. Preferred: 3+ months of histology and immunohistochemistry experience; histology and/or ASCP certifications. High-value specifics: experience working in CLIA-compliant, high-volume histology labs; proficiency with laboratory information systems; ability to work independently and as part of a team; physical capability to handle specimens; flexibility for overtime or shift changes. Work setup: Monday-Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, Syracuse, NY.
