Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens, producing histopathological slides, and performing routine and special staining procedures for microscopic examination. Objectives include delivering accurate, timely results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass specimen embedding, sectioning with microtomes, stain preparation, equipment operation and maintenance, and adherence to quality control protocols. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Histology or a High School diploma with 1+ years of histology experience; preferred certifications include ASCP or prior Labcorp experience. High-value specifics: Focus on histology with immunohistochemistry, experience embedding diverse tissue sizes, and familiarity with high-volume lab workflows. Additional skills include detail orientation, lab SOP compliance, and safety protocols. Work setup: Phoenix, AZ, Tuesday–Saturday, 2 PM–10:30 PM, with potential for high-volume lab environment exposure. Emphasis on technical proficiency with histology equipment, specimen handling, and quality assurance.
