Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens, producing histopathological slides, performing immunohistochemical and special staining procedures, and ensuring accurate test reporting. Responsibilities include specimen preparation, embedding, sectioning, staining, equipment operation and maintenance, quality control, and documentation in a high-volume laboratory setting. Requirements: Associate’s degree in Histology or a High School diploma with 1+ years of histology experience; familiarity with immunohistochemistry preferred; certifications such as ASCP are advantageous. High-Value: work in a clinical diagnostic lab environment, routine and special staining, immunohistochemistry, specimen embedding, and sectioning; supporting diagnostic pathology services. WorkSetup: Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–8:30pm in Cincinnati, OH, with flexibility for overtime or shift changes; physical requirements and computer proficiency needed.
