Operations
Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic analysis, producing histopathological slides, performing immunohistochemical and special staining procedures, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Objectives: ensure accurate and timely test results to support patient care. Responsibilities: embed, section, stain, and document specimens; operate manual and automated instruments; perform quality control and equipment maintenance; adhere to SOPs and safety protocols. Requirements: Associateβs degree in a biological or chemical science, with 1+ year histology experience or an Associate degree in Histology; familiarity with histology techniques, immunohistochemistry, and high-volume lab environments; ability to accurately read labels; detail-oriented and organized. Preferred qualifications include additional histology or IHC experience, and certifications such as ASCP. High-Value: laboratory-based role supporting clinical diagnostics, with a focus on histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and specimen processing; must pass color blindness test; schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 pm - 8:00 am, with weekend work as needed; location: Knoxville, TN.
