Role: Histology Technologist I supporting pathology labs with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and high-complexity histology procedures. Responsibilities: perform embedding, sectioning, H&E staining, IHC staining using automated systems, QC, and specimen handling to ensure diagnostic viability; maintain equipment; document results; support laboratory protocols and compliance; assist with related lab tasks. Requirements: 1+ year experience in IHC/histology or completion of an accredited histology program; Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent education; proficiency in lab safety, quality control, and lab information systems. Preferred: HT/HTL (ASCP) certification eligibility, QIHC certification. High-Value: focus on high-complexity histology and IHC testing, with exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and laboratory automation. Work setup: primarily on-site with periodic travel, some evening/weekend shifts, and physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and handling hazardous materials.
