Histology Technologist I

Role: Histology Technologist I supporting pathology lab functions with immunohistochemistry (IHC), specimen processing, embedding, slide preparation, and microtomy. Responsibilities: perform routine and high-complexity histology tasks, including grossing, processing, IHC staining, and slide QC; ensure specimen integrity and accurate labeling; maintain equipment and document procedures; assist with special projects; uphold safety and compliance standards. Requirements: at least 1 year of IHC/histology lab experience or equivalent training; a Bachelor's in a biological or medical lab science or an accredited associate degree with relevant coursework; completion of a clinical training program or 3+ months of high-complexity histology training. Preferred: HT/HTL (ASCP) certification eligibility, QIHC certification.
