Position Brand Description
Low/High Voltage Electrician A / Instrumentation Technician servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining LTC utilities (high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, sewers), ensuring utility equipment/buildings are maintained, and assisting multiple crafts.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on 4160V/480V electrical equipment (circuit breakers, 13.8KV main switchgear, motor starters, fuses, ground fault interrupts).
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex electrical equipment (MCCs, variable-speed drives, PLCs).
- Troubleshoot/diagnose electrical problems and make repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform electrical modifications and new installations; install/replace complex electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, automatic control valves).
- Troubleshoot/diagnose instrumentation problems; make modifications and new installations.
- Read P&ID drawings and schematics.
- Comply with safety procedures for cGMP and document work using Good Documentation Practices.
Basic Qualifications
- 480 volt switchgear experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Complete a Post Offer exam
- Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience; mechanical aptitude
- Instrumentation troubleshooting/new installation experience; basic electrical circuit/equipment troubleshooting
- Read P&ID schematics; CMMS experience; ALCOA+ documentation; MS Office
- Call-in/overtime readiness; lift up to 40 lbs; withstand outdoor temperature variations
