About the Role
- The Hematology Key Account Manager (KAM) drives access, demand, and strategic growth for Takeda’s Hematology portfolio within assigned geography and key accounts.
- Acts as primary point of contact for complex hematology customers across multiple sites of care.
How you will contribute
- Achieve/exceed sales targets and Management by Objective (MBO) goals.
- Develop and execute territory and strategic account plans; map stakeholders and prioritize objectives.
- Manage key Hematology accounts; serve as strategic intermediary between Takeda and institutional/nonacute customers.
- Drive formulary, protocol, and pathway access by engaging clinical, pharmacy, medical policy, operations, and financial stakeholders.
- Lead structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) integrating clinical, access, financial, operational, and outcomes insights.
- Analyze data to inform strategy and optimize resource utilization across sites of care.
- Maintain expertise in bleeding/clotting disorders and Takeda’s Hematology portfolio.
- Identify and cultivate Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align engagement within compliance guidelines.
- Share customer insights and learnings with leadership/matrix teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals (or equivalent specialty healthcare experience).
- Account/territory ownership and complex customer management experience.
- Strong understanding of hematology/hospital/IDN landscape.
- Experience supporting/executing product launches in complex healthcare environments.
- Experience developing/executing business and account plans aligned to corporate objectives.
- Working knowledge of payer access, reimbursement, and managed care.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Acute demand generation in institutional setting.
- Buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy collaboration.
- MBA/MS/PharmD or similar.
- Experience influencing C/D suite and senior clinical leadership.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive/fly; occasional overnight travel up to 25–50%.
Training Requirements
- Completion of mandatory product training (written/oral exams) as condition of employment.
