Responsibilities:
- Drive access, demand, and strategic growth across Takeda’s Hematology portfolio within assigned geography/key accounts.
- Achieve/exceed sales targets and MBO goals; execute territory/account strategies.
- Develop/execute territory and strategic account plans (stakeholder mapping, prioritization, tactical execution).
- Serve as primary account manager; act as intermediary between Takeda and institutional/nonacute customers.
- Drive formulary/protocol/pathway access by engaging clinical, pharmacy, medical policy, operations, and financial stakeholders.
- Maintain account knowledge (reimbursement dynamics, inventory, procurement, access barriers).
- Lead QBRs with HTCs, IDNs, and other customers; align on forward-looking access/clinical/financial strategies.
- Analyze data to inform sales strategy and optimize resource utilization.
- Build disease state/product expertise; identify/cultivate KOL relationships.
- Coordinate cross-functionally (Medical, Patient & Market Access, Marketing, Community Education Specialists, other KAMs).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals (or equivalent pharma/biotech/device/specialty healthcare experience).
- Account/territory management in healthcare.
- Strong hematology/hospital/IDN landscape knowledge.
- Experience supporting product launches in specialty/institutional/complex environments.
- Experience with payer access/reimbursement/managed care.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute demand generation in the institutional setting.
- Buy-and-bill experience and specialty pharmacy collaboration.
- MBA/MS/PharmD or similar.
- Experience influencing C/D-suite and senior clinical leaders in health systems/IDNs.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Travel Requirements:
- Drive/fly to accounts and meetings; occasional overnight travel up to 25–50%.
Training Requirements:
- Complete mandatory product training and examinations as a condition of employment.
