Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory, coordinating with colleagues to achieve Medical objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic area/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and customer insights; respond to HCP requests as allowed and share customer viewpoints with Pfizer.
- Contribute to Medical content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Communicate and collaborate across HQ Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver medical expertise across multiple channels (live/virtual presentations, written, phone/virtual conversations).
- Optimize patient centricity (Health Literacy and cultural awareness).

Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines in the designated therapeutic area.
- Identify and seek medical engagement with priority customer segments.
- Provide truthful, accurate, scientifically supported responses to unsolicited HCP medical requests per Pfizer guidance.
- Field inbound HCP queries via established triage process.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs/Oncology R&D/GPD to identify sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials (including under-represented populations).
- Provide medical support through the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process.
- Cultivate research/TA expertise (e.g., congress data and disease state literature).
- Provide asset leadership; understand and communicate study design/data concepts.
- Provide insights on patient advocacy groups and local patient organization needs.
- Serve on cross-functional committees; represent Medical Affairs at professional associations.
- Mentorship (onboarding partner; advisory board/study lead mentor); participate in special projects.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science required.
- Relevant experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ years), MBA/MSc (7+ years), or BA/BSc (8+ years).
- Subject matter expert across internal/external stakeholders; manage projects in a remote environment with strong prioritization and judgment.
- Matrix teamwork; lead change; change agility.
- Problem-solve/network; adopt digital technology and record medical interactions.
- Excellent oral and written communication; ability to travel 60–80% and operate a company car.

Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD/PhD/terminal doctoral degree; hematology clinical experience.
- Familiarity with SOPs/rules/regulations for Pfizer/customer interactions; prior Field Medical experience.
- Leadership/teamwork, self-starter/accountability, clinical/technical skills, strong interpersonal skills.

Work Location/Travel
- Remote - Field Based; territory includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Washington DC.
- Occasionally work weekends; proximity to airline hub city.

Benefits/Compensation (if applicable)
- Eligible for Pfizer Global Performance Plan bonus target of 20% of base salary; share-based long-term incentive.
