Health & Safety Professional III - API manufacturing

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Health & Safety (EHS) process/system development; write/review specifications, participate in process hazard evaluations, SOP and safety program development, and safety training.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to support a safe working environment; maintain and report safety data.
- Ensure safety compliance and coordinate industrial hygiene programs to meet exposure limits.
- Create and implement safety programs, objectives, and targets; support project execution via risk assessments, corrective actions, and improvement coordination.
- Provide safety expertise to resolve known/potential issues; deliver safety training/tools; communicate safety performance stats (monthly/weekly).
- Review recordable accidents; coach root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions; provide backup for emergency management/fire systems.
- Increase safety awareness through communication tools; support development of Health & Safety Professionals I/II and EHS Representatives.
- Own ISO45001 Health & Safety Management System and internal/external audits; follow safety/environmental requirements; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelorโs degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field from an accredited university.
- 5+ years of safety experience (preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing).
- Working knowledge of ISO45001.
- Knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Workerโs Compensation Management.
- Knowledge/experience in emergency management/planning.
- Ability to develop/manage action plans to achieve targets; strong verbal/written communication.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Root cause analysis skills; classified electrical environment knowledge; pharmaceutical experience; fire detection/suppression/prevention systems knowledge.
