General Summary:
- Associate Director, Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) in Vertexโs Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) group (Boston, MA). Leads development and execution of HEOR studies supporting CGT products in hemoglobinopathies and type 1 diabetes. Reports to Senior Director Global HEOR, CGT.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of complex HEOR evidence generation (cost-effective analysis and budget impact models; prospective/retrospective observational studies; ITCs; meta-analyses and systematic reviews; patient-reported outcomes measure development/validation).
- Gather and synthesize insights from payers, KOLs, and HEOR experts; stay current on scientific and policy trends and apply expertise to strategy planning.
- Provide key input to design of observational research studies using best practices.
- Collaborate with medical communications teams on publication strategy; ensure timely, high-impact dissemination of HEOR evidence.
- Partner with Global Value and Access Strategy to support production of GVD and Value Narrative.
Knowledge And Skills:
- Strong publication track record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Technical HEOR expertise; formulates and leads rigorous, scientifically sound research projects.
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of US healthcare system, global health technology appraisal requirements, and clinical development to identify evidence gaps and develop evidence generation strategies.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry legal/regulatory environment; compliance/ethical conduct.
Education And Experience:
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, Masterโs, MPH, or PharmD) in a relevant discipline.
- Typically 8 years of experience with substantial HEOR background (or equivalent).
- Prior experience in cell/gene therapy and/or hemoglobinopathies and type 1 diabetes preferred.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $176,000 - $264,000.
- Eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.
