Framingham and Northborough (MA Bio Campus) are two industrial sites, specialized in multiple high-end bio-manufacturing, supporting Sanofi’s portfolio of Specialty Care, General Medicine, and Vaccine products. They are operating together as a large bio-campus, with drug substance industrialization, manufacturing and testing facilities located in Framingham, while raw material testing, material handling, packaging, and warehousing activities are in Northborough.

With approximately 700 employees, the sites support a strategic portfolio for Sanofi and will deliver a strong growth over the coming years (+30%), with commercial products like Fabrazyme, Cerezyme, Nexviazyme, Thyrogen and multiple launches expected.

The Framingham-Northborough Bio Campus is part of the Manufacturing & Supply Specialty Care GBU.

Main Responsibilities

Scheduling

  • Accountable for feasibility and reliability of firm horizon plans, sequence of orders, management of short-term priorities.
  • Identify and feedback short term-variations (yield / delay / scrap) at Drug Product / Finished Good level, potentially leading to changes in the fluid horizon plan OOS risks.
  • Implementation of decisions taken in S&OE into the frozen horizon (should be aware of action plans depending on emergency level).
  • Managing batch allocation and flavor management as applicable.

Monthly Planning Cycle / Budget

  • Monitoring with Global Supply Planning capability & capacity analysis with APU/PCU.
  • Define convergence plan; batch allocation; track batches & regulatory constraints.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of batches to Drug Product / Pack Plans to optimize business outcome within regulatory constraints.
  • Ensure efficient frozen horizon schedules with campaigning to ensure the right balance between supply security and cost efficiently.

Performance & CI

  • Taking responsibility over performance of Level 1 & 2 Operating Unit.
  • Making sure that improvements opportunities on the processes/data are correctly escalated and contributing to Continuous Improvement.
  • Ensuring that SMS 2.0 standards are applied (incl. Role cards, standard workplan, standard process & flows, data management) by executing regular Gemba walks and process confirmation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Main member/ counterpart for APU leadership team and capability review process.
  • Attending and leading, when necessary, Level 2 meetings (Supply Chain +QDCI Level 2, Key Site Planning Meetings).
  • Ensuring that HSE behaviors are applied within the Supply Chain PCU’s.
  • Monitoring performance and contributing to upskilling PCU members.
  • Monitor material shelf-life at each stage.
  • Key performance indicators within scope: schedule adherence, destructions/scrap, PCT/RCT.

About You

Work Experience:

6+ years’ experience in Supply Chain / Operations Planning.

  • Knowledge of core system functionality (including SAP, Kinaxis and/or other, used to manage demand and supply planning processes).
  • Proficient with planning & ERP-systems (SAP) with the ability to analyze data, build effective schedules within the frozen horizon.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading organizations in applying industry best practices.
  • Operations experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • Expert collaborator and influencer with strong motivational skills.

Minimum Preferred Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain / Operations.
  • Industry experience in multiple aspects of Supply Chain planning and operations both inside and outside of Sanofi, exposure to Lean and Class A capabilities is a plus.
  • Experience in end-to-end business processes, including Master Data Management, Material Planning, and Supply Planning.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Related Discipline
