Role Summary

Head of Protein Structure and Biochemistry at GSK. Lead global team, drive scientific innovation, and collaborate across disciplines to advance the research portfolio in protein structure and biochemistry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a global team of scientists specializing in protein structure and biochemistry.
  • Shape and execute the strategic direction for research in protein structure and biochemistry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research goals with broader organizational priorities.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including academic institutions and research organizations.
  • Ensure high-quality data generation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Required: PhD in Biochemistry, Structural Biology, or a related field.
  • Required: Proven experience leading scientific teams in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
  • Required: Strong understanding of protein structure and biochemistry and their application to therapeutic development.
  • Required: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Required: Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
  • Preferred: Experience in translational research and biomarker development.
  • Preferred: Track record of high-impact publications or contributions to the field.
  • Preferred: Ability to foster innovation and drive new ideas in a dynamic environment.
